designed software called

RoadSoft

RoadSoft is a Windows program for calculations which comply with the latest American National Standard for Roadway Lighting, ANSI/IESNA RP-8-00, which was significantly revised in 2000.

The program performs the appropriate calculations for the illuminance, luminance and Small Target Visibility (STV) methods. The inputs have been reduced to a minimum, to simplify the program's use. Four different standard layouts are available, using IESNA format photometrics and specified lamp characteristics with the mounting geometry of the lighting system and the roadway dimensions and surface. A summary of the calculations is presented, and point by point data are also available.
