C_E RoadWare is a program that performs the typical roadway calculation described in the American National Standard Practice for Roadway Lighting, ANSI/IES RP-8-00 except the luminires in RoadWare do not have to be in a regular pattern or all of the same type and photometric performamce. Instead RoadWare acomodates different luminaire types to be located as desired, with individual aiming and individual scaling of the output of luminaires.
The program is provided with no guarantees, except that the calculation grids and procedures are consistent with RP-8.
C_E RoadWare operates as a web-browser input form that includes buttons to perfrom appropriate tasks. The input form has fields for every specification required, and also for optional descriptive statements and the specification of output files. The buttons can provide a new form or open one using a saved file, or run the calculation, save the input file, or manage files - and link to this help. The form has additional links that lead to help or, for the Types and Locations links, to forms for handling the corresponding files for RoadWare. Once files have been created using the RW Types or Locations forms, the new filenames will appear in the selection boxes once the the Roadware form is refreshed for any reason.
